Direct merchant updating complements Goodzer’s automated enhanced local data as the Goodzer Partner Network expands.
Goodzer, the leader in enhanced hyper-local marketing solutions, today launched Merchant Center, a new tool for local businesses that will allow service-based SMBs to directly update their information contained in Goodzer’s database of over 2 million locations of enhanced local data that is automatically distributed to leading websites accessed by over 200 million users per month.
This data is distributed and published as Service Menus by partners in the Goodzer Partner Network — which has recently expanded to include new partners such as Avantar and CitySearch.com. This expansion boosts the free exposure merchants receive to millions of additional users and increases the importance of validating and updating key information about their service offerings directly.
With Merchant Center, Goodzer now offers the best of both worlds — massive amounts of accurate local data driven by Goodzer’s automated technology and verified information from the merchants themselves. By registering with Goodzer’s Merchant Center, merchants can update their enhanced information, such as services, descriptions, prices and special offers, as frequently as necessary so that consumers searching and navigating the Goodzer Partner Network are able to make more informed, credible choices.
“We are very excited about adding Merchant Center to our automated local marketing platform,” says Mike Wilson, Goodzer CEO. “It is another way that Goodzer cements itself as a leader in generating and employing highly accurate local enhanced data — data whose reliability has a direct, positive impact on our local marketing solutions such as outsourced SEM, call-generation, and driving in-store visits for local retail merchants”.
Merchant Center has been in beta for several months while testing was conducted with a small group of merchants to perfect its ease-of-use and develop an easy, yet bullet-proof authentication process. Feedback from these merchants has been extremely positive and Goodzer is now allowing all single location, multi-location and national service-based merchants to update their enhanced data.
Merchant Center also allows distribution partners, including Avantar and CitySearch.com, to feel confident that Goodzer’s SMB merchants have direct and easy access to update their information. Partners link to Merchant Center right from their site to allow business-owners to manage their service offerings and content accuracy. “We work closely with our distribution partners,” Wilson notes. “We want to deliver the best possible customer experience by providing an engaging process for both merchants and consumers — Merchant Center does that by enabling simple business content updates to give consumers the most complete information when and where they need it.”
Goodzer provides the most advanced, enhanced local data to publishers and uses that data to provide effective and efficient online and mobile advertising solutions for local businesses such as outsourced SEM and call generation. The company’s leading and extensive database of enhanced local data covers more than 95 percent of all publicly available product information and its product and service content is distributed to over 200 million users each month.
